In 2012 we moved to Nottingham and planned for me to get new work in the area. This never worked out and I ended travelling back to Bucks and staying away for most of the week. This song is about finally stopping adding 'Fuel to the Fire' by moving back to Bucks/Oxfordshire so we can finally be together again as a family.
lyrics
Goodbye my best laid plans, that never were
So much for ‘we’ll work it out’, it can’t be done
Or be undone
So long to faded dreams, and who we’ve been
Too long, too many miles
In caffeine dreams
And broken sleep
Won’t keep on adding fuel to the fire
I don’t want to wait any longer
I thought the home you find, you keep inside
Too far, too many days are out of mind
I may get left behind
Won’t keep on adding fuel to the fire
I don’t want to wait any longer
I realise this time is over
I don’t want to wait any longer
These days are tough
And I know that we’ve had enough
Those days were rough
And the end it won’t come soon enough
These days are tough
And I know that we’ve had enough
Won’t keep on adding fuel to the fire
I don’t want to wait any longer
I realise this time is over
I don’t want to wait any longer
