About the need to belong to something even if it is a something that is bad for us and not who we really are. Also it's about the need to always be seen to be doing the right thing by those whose opinion we think we value. Social media has definitely added extra pressure to us all when we just need to be ourselves. Don't 'Follow the Sorrow'!
lyrics
Lock the door, leave the world behind
Don't follow the sorrow
Armed with a spoon but with an axe to grind
Don't borrow their sorrow
Go away I don't want to play the blame game
On another day you may have your say
But I know you and see through you
Time heals, and time takes pieces of me
Lines break, and others create a bridge out of here
Who put, our lives on display?
who put, your lives on parade?
Lock the door, leave the world behind
Don't follow the sorrow
Armed with a spoon but with an axe to grind
Don't follow the sorrow
Go away I don't want to play the blame game
On another day you may have your say
But I know you and see through you
You struck a deal
You were made to feel righteous again
Now you're someone else
But you used to be able to think for yourself
What you gotta say about it?
and what you gonna do about it?
What you gotta say about it?
and what you gonna do about it?
Lock the door, shut the world away
On another day you may have your say
What you gotta say about it?
and what you gonna do about it?
What you gotta say about it?
and what you gonna do about it?
